Treatment
Polynucleotides
A regenerative treatment that supports your skin's own collagen and hydration to improve quality, not volume.
Polynucleotides are a regenerative, or skin-booster, treatment that works to improve the quality of your skin from within, using highly purified polynucleotides (long chains derived from DNA) to support the skin's own renewal.
Unlike dermal filler, they do not add volume or change shape. Instead they help the skin become better hydrated, firmer and smoother over a course of treatment, which is why they are popular for the face, the delicate under-eye area, the neck and the décolletage.

How it works
Delivered into the skin with a fine needle, polynucleotides encourage the cells responsible for collagen and elastin to become more active, and help the skin hold water. Over time this can improve hydration, texture, firmness and overall skin quality.
What to expect
After a consultation, treatment takes around 30 to 40 minutes, usually with a numbing cream first; most people describe only mild pressure. Downtime is minimal: some redness, mild swelling or small bumps can appear and usually settle within 24 to 48 hours, and bruising is possible.
Results
Polynucleotides are normally given as a short course of 2 to 4 sessions a few weeks apart. Some improvement can be noticed early, with fuller results building over the following 2 to 3 months. Results commonly last around 6 to 9 months, with maintenance sessions to keep the benefit.
Who it is for
Adults wanting to improve skin quality, hydration and resilience rather than add volume. It is generally avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding, and care is needed with certain conditions or a significant fish allergy, as the polynucleotides are derived from purified fish DNA. Suitability is confirmed at consultation.
Your safety
Done properly, by someone qualified.
Polynucleotide products should be from reputable, regulated suppliers and given by a qualified, insured practitioner. As with any injectable treatment there are risks, which are discussed at your consultation, and results are best thought of as an improvement built over a course rather than a guaranteed or permanent outcome.
