Facial contouring
Dermal filler that restores volume and definition to the cheeks, chin and jawline, balanced to your features.
Facial contouring uses hyaluronic acid dermal filler to restore lost volume and add definition to areas such as the cheeks, chin and jawline, and to improve overall balance.
The aim is subtle, natural-looking enhancement that suits your face, not an obvious change. Considered volume can refresh and define the face while keeping it looking like you.

How it works
Filler is placed in precise amounts to support and define specific areas, for example lifting and shaping the cheeks, defining the jawline or balancing the chin. Placement is tailored to your anatomy and the result is visible straight away.
What to expect
After a consultation and medical history, treatment is usually quick, often around 15 to 30 minutes per area, with numbing cream and fillers that contain a local anaesthetic. Most people return to normal activities the same day; some redness, swelling or pin-prick marks are normal, and bruising can last up to around a week.
Results
Hyaluronic acid fillers typically last around 6 to 18 months depending on the area, the product and your metabolism. A single treatment per area is usually enough, with top-ups to maintain the result.
Who it is for
Adults wanting more definition or balance. It is volumising and contouring, not a facelift, so it cannot lift significant skin laxity. It is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or with certain conditions. Suitability is confirmed at consultation.
Your safety
Done properly, by someone qualified.
Hyaluronic acid filler is temporary and can be dissolved if needed. As with any filler there are risks, including the rare but serious blockage of a blood vessel, so treatment should only be carried out by a trained, insured practitioner. Report any unusual or increasing pain, or skin colour changes, straight away.
Common questions
- Will it look obvious or overdone?
- It should not. The aim is natural balance and definition placed to suit your features, and because it is hyaluronic acid it can be dissolved if you are ever unhappy.
- How long does it last?
- Typically around 6 to 18 months depending on the area, the product and your own metabolism.
- Is there much downtime?
- Most people return to normal life straight away. You may have some swelling, redness or pin-prick marks, and bruising can last up to about a week.
- Does it hurt?
- Discomfort is usually mild. Numbing cream is used and most fillers contain a local anaesthetic.
